In House Recruitment Expo– Event Sales Executive – £ basic + Commission DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Sales Executive to work in Velvet Apple Media - an events and online publishing business.

The Company

The chosen candidate will be working closely with the events channel by supporting external clients with the launch or management of large-scale exhibitions. These exhibitions will be designed for direct recruiters in corporate companies.

With the launch of In House Recruitment Expo in Jan 2015 and future launches scheduled for 2016/17, the next couple of years will be a very exciting and productive time to work for Velvet Apple Media Ltd.

 

The Role.

The Event Sales Executive will support revenue generation with existing and future commercial developments.

This role will involve researching and making contact with new and potential clients, contacting existing clients and targeting a wide range of recruiters to promote and sell exhibition stands.

This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate to develop skills and knowledge of sales or an individual with event or media experience. The role will also include some involvement with events operations team and offers the chance for the successful candidate to gain some insight into the recruitment sector.

The Candidate

Ideally a commercially aware and target driven graduate with a keen interest in sales. The candidate will need to portray confidence, enthusiasm and determination to do well in this role as excellent client relations and rapport building is an essential element. You must have an excellent telephone manner as well as good written and communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive is also essential. The ideal candidate will be able to address any objections or negatives and be able to turn these around into positive outcomes.

 

Key Skills

A 2:2 degree in any subject related to Media or Business would be particularly desirable for this role but we would love to hear from candidates from other backgrounds that believe they have the relevant skills.
